If beaches are what you are looking for, then the Garrapatero is where you want to go. Still, it’s worth walking by because you can see sea lions, great blue herons, blue-footed boobies flying, and sally lightfoot crabs. I had my birthday dinner there and the wine comes in litre bottles. Unlike San Cristobal, where sea lions are everywhere, Puerto Ayora does not have that many sea lions in town and this concentration of them along with the iguanas and birds etc makes the hotel special.

The Galapagos Islands Archipel is a very special place in the world. We found that after a large almuerzo, a couple empanadas were all we needed for dinner. There are free bikes to borrow. There are so many delicious ways to waste money on dinner on this Island, so splurge or save as you see fit.
